Models of hadronic (strong) interaction
Since elastic scattering of nucleons is lacking any energy hard scale, the perturbative QCD cannot be applied. Instead, many phenomenological models (more or less QCD inspired) have been developed. At the moment, the following models are available in the Elegent package:
- model of Block et al.
- model of Bourrely et al.
- model of Islam et al.
- model of Jenkovszky et al.
- model of Petrov et al.
- simple exponential model with constant phase
A short description of the above models can be found in the journal publication linked from the home page. For a more detailed overview, we refer the reader to Section 1.1 of CERN-THESIS-2011-214.
